Job Summary The Compensation Department provides a full range of compensation programs designed to attract, retain, and motivate our employees. The Compensation & Compliance Analyst conducts day-to-day compensation administration, creating job descriptions and job codes, performs complex classification and compensation analyses and related projects. This position will work independently, as well as part of a team-based environment and must be detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. A Day in the Life The Compensation and Benefits Analyst will analyze, design, and administer employer compensation and benefit programs, including payroll, base pay, incentive pay, health and welfare benefits, and retirement benefits. The Compensation and Benefits Analyst will conduct research and analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation and benefit trends. JOB SUMMARY This job provides professional level support in the design and administration of compensation practices, policies and programs including data preparation and analysis. Provides support and problem resolution to HR staff and agency administrators on compensation philosophy, programs, and practices. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Finance, Business, Communication, Statistics, Mathematics, or other closely related field, plus two (2) years of experience in the analysis, design and/or administration of compensation programs. Education may not be substituted for the required experience.
Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required pre-employment background check and subsequent mandatory background checks in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.
